Fall semester strated - it is getting busy!

The second thing that is happening on the campus is the First Annual Opportunity Assessment Contest hosted by Babson Forum on Entrepreneurship and Innovation (FEI) 2007.

I have entered the contest and came out as the Semifinalist in a pool of 50 entries. See my entry "Watch-N-Build" on the contest page. Will write about the concept more in detail soon.

So long.

Getting back to the Blog

It has been a while since I got onto the blog. Finished both Summer I and Summer II and that was not bad at all - compared to Mod III and Mod IV. In fact, I liked all the electives.

Some of FT08ers attended Les Charm's session on E-Finance on Saturday and it was just great. Ed put the video on his blog. Check it out. It is great.

I will be coming back to write more and more now. The Capstone has started and the first F2F was a lot of fun. 28 Rocket Pitches were narrowed down to 20 teams. Now, the real works starts. I bet it is going to a great experience and I am sure I will be learning and experimenting along the way.

Lot of activity has been happening on the campus and I am planning on writing on more and more in the next few weeks. Keep reading.

Ciao.

The difference between Web 1.0 and Web 2.0

Came across the following quote by Joseph Lassiter of HBS on rkgblog:
The biggest single difference between Web 1.0 and Web 2.0 is that today you tend to get one 46-year-old CEO in Web 2.0 companies, whereas in Web 1.0 companies you got two 23-year-old-co-CEOs… People are older, wiser, and to some extent, more jaded.

Mass Probiotics: winner at Babson Founder's day

Just learned that Feed Resource was the first runner up in the Babson Founder's day biz plan competition.

The winner was Mass Probiotics. I thought that Mass Probiotics was a good presentation and a very viable business in a very short period of time. Dave(?) presented impressive high growth and low growth financials on the project. Will write more details about it some other time.
