Indra Nooyi @ MIT Sloan

Went to MIT Sloan School of Management Dean's Innovative Leader series to listen to Indra Nooyi President and CFO of PepsiCo.

It was a good talk. Nooyi talked quite a bit about the diversity and how the companies may benefit from, in this current time and age, it in the global market place. Also she talked about Five Cs that she believes in:

1. Competency - identify your competency and excel in it
2. Courage and Confidence - in that order. Show courage and exude confidence
3. Consistency - be consistent in what you do. People like the consistency in a leader
4. Compass - finding one's inner compass and finding the true north. Finding the true north part I did not quite understand
5. Coaching - she says that coaches will find rather than you finding a mentor or a coach

Pretty good and inspirational talk.

Mid-terms

Finished two (rather three) mid term exams over the weekend. Accounting followed by Law and the Ethics and Social Responsibility. Now it is time for the last stretch of Mod I. Another F2F (Face-to-Face) coming up over the March 10th weekend. Just rounded up the number of readings or assignments for the coming F2F and came up 16 items. That should sure keep me busy. One good thing is that there is a one full day of Entrepreneurship on Friday. Looking forward to that.

Second class coming up

Getting ready for the second face-to-face session at Babson College this Thursday. Lot of reading to do. This should be an interesting week because we are all coming back to the campus after spending almost one month on the blackboard.
